🍳 Fried Saundala (Swamp Barb) – सौंदाळा तळणे
Ingredients:

Fresh Saundala (Swamp Barb) – 500g (cleaned)

Turmeric powder – ½ tsp

Red chili powder – 1 tsp (adjust to taste)

Salt – to taste

Rice flour or semolina (rava) – 3 tbsp (for crispy coating)

Oil – for deep frying
Instructions:

Marinate the fish:
In a bowl, mix cleaned Saundala with turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Let it marinate for 15-20 minutes. -
Coat the fish:
Sprinkle rice flour or semolina over the marinated fish and coat evenly. -
Heat oil in a deep frying pan on medium heat.

Fry the fish:
Carefully add the coated fish pieces to hot oil. Fry until golden brown and crispy on both sides (about 4-5 minutes per batch). -
Drain excess oil using paper towels.

Serve hot with lemon wedges or green chutney.
